Hello Everyone! Welcome to my first blog post. I’ve had this blog waiting for me since April but wanted to make sure I came up with a really good first post. Well, I couldn’t wait anymore for divine inspiration, so I’m winging it.
I wanted to write about fitness because that is what I am passionate about, more passionate about it than anything else in my life, really. I didn’t do any type of sports or anything growing up, so its a new thing for me. I start going to the gym when I was in University (about 6 years ago), but I had no clue what I was doing, and didn’t care. I was one of those people who go to the gym to be able to tell people I went to the gym. Then I was given a free session with a personal trainer at a new gym I joined, and being a sucker for a good sales person, I kept on seeing him. He convinced me I should do a fitness show…something I had never heard of before. In fact, the first fitness show I ever saw was one that I actually competed in. So that was my life for the next 2 years. I’ve competed twice, won 1 national title, then quit while I was ahead. I got into personal training about the same time I quit and still do it in the mornings before I come to work.
I decided to stop waiting around for the perfect inspiration to write because since the beginning of summer, I’ve gained about 8 pounds. I know exactly why I gained this weight, and I know exactly how I can get rid of it. I seriously lack motivation and will power right about now, and I was hoping that if I wrote about it, I might be more inspired to do something about it. 8 pounds might not seem like a lot, but 8 pounds is enough for me to ffeel like people are staring and enough for me to never want to wear a bikini ever again (but still not enough for me to say “no” to a Dairy Queen blizzard.
Anyway, I do hope that this is enough for a first post, and I look forward to keeping this up to date forever.
