Cops Have A Thing For Me
There is a police station up the street from where I live that I have to pass it to get to the subway station. Yesterday, I was walking towards it, focusing all my attention on this short bald guy who was chasing after his kid. I didn’t notice this tall fully-haired guy come up in front of me until he stopped and I nearly ran into him. Our conversation:
Tall Fully-Haired Guy: Hi m’am.
FitDarcie: (taking the ear phones out of my ear): Uhm. What?
Tall Fully-Haired Guy: I said “hi”. How are you? You going to work?
FitDarcie: No, I don’t have a job.
Tall Fully-Haired Guy: Oh. Can I get your number? Do you have a man?
FitDarcie:Uh, I have a boyfriend. Sorry
Tall Fully-Haired Guy: Lucky guy. Good luck finding a job.
It was that quick.
The thing is, this is the third time that the exact same scenario has played out at that police station. (Originally written about here). What makes me appealing to cops? My theory? I look so innocent and wholesome that those upholding the law can’t resist me.

True. Very, very true.

Maybe they see your inner criminal and want to keep you on the straight and narrow… kind of like motherly women look for men they can take care of and alpha males look for women they can dominate.

My thing I notice with cops (cause a good friend of mine is a young attractive male Italian cop) is they know that they have instant power over SOME women, and they want to find out as quickly and efficiently as possible if you are one of those women. Same with firemen. Both weak and strong women are susceptible to feel subsistence toward men of authority. Its simple for these guys, the ones that use their job to meet girls; (1)the girl needs to notice that he is a cop, and (2) the guy watches her reaction. The girl will either get all mushy and dainty and inviting a conquer or their reaction is ‘ok, you’re a cop. So?’. The moment they realize you are not in the former category there’s just no point in continuing the conversation, because I think unconsciously (and incorrectly) they feel they are little more than a job . My opinion.
