The Metro Sexual
I’m not going to say that I don’t like metro-sexual men. I like my men to be manly, but I’ve been attracted to the good grooming skills of metros before.
A friend of mine, who I will call Peter, is a metro sexual. Great guy, lots of girl friends (though I’ve never known him to have a girlfriend), tall, good looking, great clothes, likes to have nice dinners, I’m guessing he can cook…The other day, we were chatting about metros and someone mentioned to him that he’s one. He adamantly denied it. Swore up and down that he was not.
I don’t understand. No one was making fun of him for being one. There is nothing wrong with it. Why deny it?

The only answer I’ve got is that boys are weird.
I’m not a fan of the guys with fixed eyebrows. Cleaning up the middle, okay, but shaping them - it just looks girly.

There is a huge difference between being well groomed and well dressed and being a metro sexual.
A “Metro” is someone who has gone overboard. They have gone well beyond trying to look good to the point of obsession.
A clean shave… normal
Face lotion after shaving… normal
Nighttime hydrating face mask… Metro

For some guys observing other guys there is a very fine line between metrosexual and homosexual. Perhaps he just doesn’t want to people to think he’s on the ‘wrong’ side of that line.
Of coarse theres also the possibility that he really doesnt think hes a metrosexual

@Bob- Yes, there is a difference between well-groomed and over-the-top…and there is a difference between the way metros do it, and manly men. I prefer the manly men way.
