Time To Let Mustang In?
Last night I saw Mustang for the first time in about a month. I haven’t been going at my usual time, and have been going on days when he’s not there, so we’ve just been missing each other.
Last night, we had a conversation about Facebook, which, of course, he is not on. My grandma is on Facebook. I think the few straglers that are avoiding Facebook should just accept it…it wasn’t that long ago that people with cell phones were the abnormalities…let’s just accept that Facebook is a part of life now.
Anyway, he made several attempts to get me to give him my full name (without directly asking for it). And each time, I did what I normally do, I changed the subject. It’s been 2 years now…even if he did find out my name and googled me, I doubt he’d clue in that he’s Mustang. The guy doesn’t even have Facebook for crying out loud. Think I should just cave and let him know?

if you google fitdarcie’s full name will you end up at this blog? if not, what’s the harm…or rather what’s the goal? i’ve read the past mustang posts and it doesn’t make it really clear if you would date him or not…would you? and if you would why not use the “what’s your full name” conversation to get what you want out of him…perhaps a beer, followed by dinner? hey, girl’s gotta drink (and eat)…

I wrote this rather fast last night and I guess I didn’t really think about it. I did remove my last name from everywhere on here once I became unemployed in case potential bosses googled me. And, truth be told, I don’t want to go out with Mustang. He’s a nice guy and I love his general hapiness and enthusiasm, but I’m not sure we’d have anything to say to each other after we talk about the gym and the bar scene.

Darcie, its time for full disclosure. Not only do you tell him your name, you tell him about this blog and tell him he is Mustang. Really, what do you have to lose? If nothing else, it will give you lots to talk about. Honestly is always the best policy. Well unless you are having an affair, then lying is the best policy.

He’d probably be flattered and consider himself a celebrity if he saw he had a nickname on a blog. I don’t want him to know. I find this whole 2-years-and-knowing-nothing-about-me scenario fun. It makes it interesting to keep things from him.

But thats just it, you need to keep it fresh. Go from one end of the spectrum to the other, right from knowing-nothing-about-you to stalking-him-like-teenwolf-stalks-darcie.
Its worked for me, so it will work for you. Oh wait…nevermind.

Uhhh…hate to break it to you, but Googling your full name brings up this blog as the #2 result. Employers will find it pretty easily!
Google, like elephants, never forgets…

Yeah, you may want to clean it up a little again, as you’ve left your full name as a tag in at least one article…

How come everyone here knows her last name? Its taking me a long time to go through the Toronto phonebook looking for Darcie’s. A last name would greatly expediate my love mission.

You guys have no idea how ironic the last bit of this conversation has been.

Plus your twitter account (which you use your full name as user name) lists fitdarcie.com as your website…

Ok, I took that out, and all my tags from my site…but I still come up when I google myself. That sucks.

How’s this for crappy advice? It’s up to you! Do whatever you feel like! (I get that crap all the time, and it just makes me want to strangle somebody!) :D

I like things being up to me.

Ok truth be told…so do I! ;) Glad it was good advice then! :D
