Why New Years on a Thursday Will Ruin Resolutions

1

As an avid gym goer, I normally take the first week of the New Year off so that Resolutioners (people who come to the gym the first week of January, then never again) can get it out of their systems and not get in my way. My Holiday this year has made me less active than normal, so this year, I wont be taking the week off. I went to the gym on Friday the 2nd and today, Saturday the 3rd.

There were very few this year. It seems most people are waiting until Monday to kick in their resolutions. This means one more weekend of debauchery, then, in their minds, they will start fresh. But what is really going to happen is that people will stop wishing them “Happy New Year” and they will stop telling each other what their resolutions are, and this will result in them not even trying.

It does annoy me that people swarm in my gym for a week, and go at it pretty hard core…but at least they give it a shot. Ah well- at least they wont be chewing up cardio machines in my gym. Lazies.
